Imagine the Impact of Prayer!
When you pray, you are actively participating...choosing to join God in what he is already doing. Prayer is something that can be done alone or with others. Prayer can be silent, a whisper, a cry, a shout, an outpouring of emotions in any and every language. Prayer can be spoken, it can be sung, it can be written, it can be drawn. Prayer is an intimate, relational interaction with the One who created and formed us, The great I AM, our Father God.
As we look at our broken, wounded world, we have more questions than answers to meet the needs of the age in which we live. However, we know the answer is to be found in Jesus!
In 2026, Nazarene Missions International celebrates it’s 30th year of calling the Church of the Nazarene to participate in the Global Week of Prayer (GWP). Each year, the week that includes the first Friday of March (designated as the World Day of Prayer), Nazarenes around the world are guided through prayer and praise items from each of the six world regions. Many continue to pray throughout the year for the requests of the 2025 GWP emphasis. Materials have been developed for adults and children to encourage full participation in the 2026 Global Week of Prayer. These materials will be available in the New Year, hopefully in 30+ languages.
Mark your calendars, set an alarm, tell your friends...it’s a week when Nazarenes around the world will join together on every continent, in every time zone, to pray, praise, and participate in what our God has done, is doing, and will do. Are you ready? Don’t miss it! Pray with us!

Global Week of Prayer Update
Eurasia Region (Eastern India)
“It was a wonderful experience as together we prayed for different regions of the world. We met online, too. We experienced oneness during this prayer time. We experienced the filling of Holy Spirit and joy as we prayed together. We became a part of the global Church as we followed the prayer requests.”
Mesoamerica (Western Mexico)
“During the Global Week of Prayer, we seek to mobilize churches around our district with the goal of involving adults, youth, and children. It is a time of intercession for the Church of the Nazarene. We worked with the district NDI team, requesting the presidents to support this call to prayer for missions. Sunday school teachers distributed the appropriate material to children so that they could actively participate during the week in a time of united prayer.”
South America (Colombia and Paraguay)
“We gathered to ask the Holy Spirit to guide our intercession. We prayed not only for Colombia's needs, but for our regions and nations, for Kingdom expansion and for true revival. We also raised our voices in gratitude for all that God has already done.” “The children pray for missions, too.”
USA and Canada
“We broke into six groups, each focusing on a specific region, praying for missionaries, and writing them notes of encouragement. This helped increase the sense of connection to our global church. The kids commented that they discovered God can answer prayers all around the world, and they would like to meet the people they prayed for one day.”
